How to get there: Follow the B5105 from Ruthin.
Clawddnewydd was recently awarded a national ‘village of the year’ award. The village has a newly built Village Hall called Cae Cymro. The hall is used for a variety of community activities such as: Indoor bowls, indoor & outdoor football, and whist drives. It is available for wedding parties, concerts, events and meetings. Next to the hall is the village shop, which also operates a Post Office on Thursday. A wide range of locally produced goods can be purchased there. The Cae Cymro Hall also has a Caravan and Camping Club 5 van site, all 5 pitches offer stunning views across to the Berwyn Mountains. Pitches can be booked on arrival from the village shop on site, individuals and groups are welcome. Clawddnewydd is served by The Glan Llyn Inn, which serves fine ale and food. The village of Clawddnewydd has a fine pond, maintained by volunteers and is a great attraction to visiting ducks! We do not have a village school the children of the village go the Clocaenog school about a mile away.
Clawddnewydd has a very active community putting on plays, Concerts of various kinds, fund raising dances, Fairs at Christmas and Easter as well as hosting Mothers and Farther's Day Lunches. Clawddnewydd play in the league home games take place on the Canolfan football pitch.
