Our Caravan site is located in the beautiful vale of Clwyd
overlooking the vale itself to the Berwyn Mountains in the distance.
It has six pitches all with electric hook up there is also a CDP and fresh water supply and a place to dispose of rubbish.
there are toilets in the main Village hall building.

We are ideally located for tours of Snowdonia and the North Wales Coast,
We are also within driving distance of the Historic City of Chester if you want to spend a day in the City or you can spend the day looking at historic castles we do have an impressive list such as Denigh, Ruddllan and Conway Ruthin Castle is now a Hotel and restaurant which incorporates the original Ruthin Castle
National trust members are also well catered for with Erddig Hall, Chirk Castle, the Home of The Ladies of Llangollen at Llangollen - there is also the Steam railway at Llangollen.

Mae’n ucheldir eang gyda thirwedd glytiog, donnog. Mae ei dawelwch a’i goedwigoedd eang yn gartref i boblogaeth o Wiwerod Coch ac mae’n ardal allweddol i’r Grugieir Du sy’n gynyddol anghyffredin. Mae absenoldeb llawer o draffig trwm yn gwneud yr ardal yn lleoliad delfrydol i gerdded a beicio. Longing to be Explored
People often have a tendency to overlook the villages of Clawddnewydd, Clocaenog and Derwen preferring to head for the well trodden attractions of Ruthin and the Vale of Clwyd just 10 to 15 minutes away. But you should take a second look and think about slowing down and taking time to visit this quiet and little-known corner of rural Denbighshire located on the edge of Mynydd Hiraethog, which translates as "The Hills of Great Longing". It is an extensive upland area with a broad rolling patchwork landscape. It’s tranquillity and extensive forests mean it is home to Wales' remaining population of red squirrels and it is a key area for the increasingly rare black grouse. The absence of much heavy traffic makes the area an ideal location for walking and cycling. The areas rolling patchwork fields are retained by towering oak trees, which span hedgerows and windy country lanes patrolled by colourful pheasant. There are stunning views of fertile,
traditionally farmed, landscapes and vibrant village communities, which
look to the future but take great pride in preserving their past.

Nhreffynnon a Dŷ Ddewi. Roedd yn un o’r llwybrau mwyaf gwerthfawr
yng Nghymru. Ystyriwyd bod dwy bererindod i Dy Ddewi yn cyfateb i
bererindod i Rufain a thair o’r un gwerth â phererindod i Jerwsalem!
Ffynnon Sara Ar hyd llwybr y pererinion roedd y ffynnon Sanctaidd, Ffynnon Sara. Credwyd bod y ffynnon yn gwella cryd cymalau a chanser. Roedd dioddefwyr yn gollwng ‘anrhegion’ o binnau cyn disgyn y tri gris i
drochi yn y tanc. Roedd pobl yn ceisio gwellhad gan deithio yma hyd

Historic Wales
Pilgrims’ Progress Traditionally pilgrims undertook long and often dangerous journeys to shrines of saints to seek forgiveness for sins, healing or spiritual guidance. The lane from Clawddnewydd to Melin-y-Wig formed part of the Pilgrims’ route between the shrines of St Winifred in Holywell and St David’s. It was one the most highly valued routes in Wales. Two pilgrimages to St David’s were considered to be equal to a pilgrimage
to Rome and three to the same value as a pilgrimage to Jerusalem! Ffynnon Sarah (St Saeran’s Well) Along the pilgrims route was the holy well, Ffynnon Sarah. The well was believed to heal rheumatism and cancers. Sufferers dropped in ‘gifts’ of pins before descending the three steps to bathe in the tank. Cure-seekers came until well into the Victorian period. The well is on the road to Melin-y-Wig from Clawddnewydd, on the right side of the road, by a dip in the road park in the signed lay-by and walk the track
