Welcome:

There will be something of interest for everyone who visits our web site.

Clawddnewydd is a village in the Vale of Clwyd in the County of Denbighshire North East Wales, it lies on the edge of the beautiful Clocaenog Forest and has stunning views across the Vale of Clwyd to the Berwyn Mountains and the top of the Horseshoe Pass. Five miles from the Market town of Ruthin and close to the villages of Clocaeng and Derwen.

We are on the B5105 between Ruthin and Cerrigidrudion one of the main routes into Snowdonia.

The VillCanolfan Cae Cymro a Siop/Village Hall and Shop.age boasts The Glan Llyn Pub, a Community Shop, Village Hall and a Chapel. We do not have a school but the children from our village go to the excellent Ysgol Clocaenog/Clocaenog School just a mile away. We have a Caravan and Camping Club 5 van site with wonderful views across the vale. We also have a picturesque duck pond  ... With ducks of course.

The area is home to one of the last red Squirrel habitats in the UK, and is teeming with wildlife, Buzzards patrol the skies and Red kites have been seen in the area along with many other species of birds. We have an historic holy Well on one of the Drovers routes through the area.
